Freshmen Caucus Election 22-23
Two people with arms around each other, with text "Z-S FOR CO-PREZ"

Samuel Sunko & You Zhou

Summary Blurb:

NO POLICIES! That is, no set policies... Rather than trying to guess what freshmen want and basing our policies on that, we will find out what exactly freshmen want and try to make that happen.

Platform / Policies:

Our guiding policy is….. NO POLICY! Hear us out:

Generally, most candidates try to guess what the people they are representing want, and make that their policies. However, in a community such as the Stuy freshman class, it is easier and more effective to simply find out exactly what the freshman body wants.

Therefore, it makes much more sense for our policies to be whatever the freshman student body wants them to be. Whether that's more electives/AP courses for freshmen, phone policies, school re–entrance policies, cleaner bathrooms, or more freshmen–specific events, we will do our best to focus on the things that most freshmen want. However, while trying to do exactly what freshmen want, we will still employ strong common sense and realism to make sure we don’t attempt anything not in our power to affect.

We will use various methods to gather information about what freshmen want, such as:

  • - Google forms
  • - Facebook polls/questionnaires
  • - Ability to submit suggestions digitally/physically

Once we know what policies freshmen actually want, we will work with the relevant Student Union and administration departments when necessary.

Since we will do our best to achieve what freshmen really want, vote z-s for co-prez.

"For the students, by the students."
