Here is our detailed and major policies!!

• Creating a website that is easy to read and understand and tells you everything you need to know about STUY!!
• We need a new website because facebook messenger is hard to find questions that someone else has already asked. One person’s question and its answer may often be the same as someone else’s question. Even some people who find it difficult to ask questions may be able to find the answers.

So we want to make sure that the Q&A is clearly and properly maintained. 

• Especially at the start of high school life, documents are sent one after another, and it’s easy to miss them. So the information necessary for school life should be more organized. 
• Interactions between freshmans, and also more interaction with seniors and alumni. 

Create a place where freshmans can get advice on high school life, university entry, and future careers. 

• Understanding and Interaction with Diversity

Students from any different cultures attend Stuy. Also, people have different interests and concerns. Recognizing diversity is very important in today’s world, so we will increase the opportunities to learn about diversity. 

• By introducing and creating opportunities to experience various cultures and foods you have never experienced.
• By opening a place where people can express what they want to express, not only differences in background countries, but also gender, hobbies and everything make good influence for freshman

• AP course opportunities

AP is increasingly being used as a requirement for college applications.

Stuy is a high school in NYC with many students who are highly motivated for their future, but the requirements and participating in AP classes are very strict, and there is an increasing possibility that we will have fewer opportunities to apply to college than other high schools because we have less chance to take AP classes. 

We would like to launch a campaign to encourage more opportunities to study AP!! 

 

• Lunch and food waste

Many freshmans do not use lunch, so we would like to introduce what kind of lunch is served everyday.

We would like to reduce food waste by researching popular and unpopular meals. There are many people in the world who are struggling to get food, so it is wrong to waste food and throw it away.
