About the Candidates: Through our campaign platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, & more, we show you that we're are suit to be in office. As experienced candidates, we know the capabilities of the SU. To dive into some of our general experience, Preena was part of the Freshman Caucus cabinet, currently an intern for politician Yuh-Line Niou for congress, Public Forum debater, Spec Business member, Key Club Locksmith assistant director, Vice President of SHA, curriculum & outreach director for FISCUS, & is involved in other political things. Malka is in the events planning department of the Student Union, owns & manages a business, is an active member of Key Club, & more. Through each of those leadership roles, we have acquired vital experience that will heavily benefit the Sophomore body. In addition to that, we have strong work dynamic.
About our Campaign: We've accordingly created a feasible campaign, where we have a plan for every goal. Our pillars are inclusivity, transparency, & growth. A major part of our campaign is to help current Freshmen transition into the dem&s of Sophomore year.
- Academics: We want to provide all types of support, including academic & extracurricular support through standardized tests support, textbook dumps, organized zoom crams, course selection support, special study guides, google forms regarding workload, & more.
- Events: What makes our events unique is the financial consideration: low cost, yet enjoyable! Some of our planned events include outfit contests, Valentines Day prom, assassin, photobooth, try not to laugh challenges, sports contests, fictional characters drawing contests, & more! & yes, we know exactly how we'll acquire funding for the above mentioned. In a spreadsheet sent out, Sophomores will be drop their event ideas which we'll consider through an effective method.
- Inclusion: There will be religious holidays celebrations, cultural celebration days, awareness newsletters, & increased availability of female hygiene products in bathrooms, & more!
- Internal: There will be music playlists shares, book & movie recommendations, bi-monthly outfit collages, locker exchange arrangements, & more.
- Communication: There will be bi-weekly feedback forms, bi-weekly newsletters, monthly caucus updates, bi-monthly FAQs, bi-monthly caucus meetings, social media flexibility, & more.
We are not running to have another thing to put on our resumes, but rather because we truly care about the Sophomore body & have seen the way SU works. We want real change. We hope that you find us reliable candidates. Thank you!
