Our Initiatives:  Read more on our platform doc for more details!

College Readiness - Through external partnerships with reputable organizations such as YTT, the Alumni Association, the Parents Association, and college representatives, we want to offer you insightful college panels, college guides, and day-long college tours to let you visit a variety of colleges in the tri-state area and offer an abundance of information to help you decide if you would want to attend there!

J-Prom Affordability - We want to match the fantastic job that Junior Caucus accomplished this year in fundraising for J-Prom and lowering ticket prices significantly. By focusing on larger-scale events that are cost-friendly, creating a website to eliminate EventBrite fees, and making impactful partnerships, we hope to make J-Prom financially friendly to the entire Junior student body.

Fundraisers - To maximize funds for J-Prom and events, we will host a variety of fundraisers, including seasonal raffles with bake sales and sending a holiday gift + card! Additionally, we want to hold an emphasis on outreach and donations from various organizations that have donated to Stuyvesant in the past.

Events - If you’ve ever wanted to participate in the Squid Games, that’s one of our top priorities for this year! It’ll include every stage from Squid Games, including the Dalgana game, the marbles, red light-green light, and more! Additionally, we’ll be hosting a google form where you can vote for events and we would do the 1-2 most popular ones, with choices including a water fight, talent pentathlon, ghost scavenger hunt, and a brain rot competition!

Our Experience: With Vanna’s internal leadership experience and Philip’s outreach experience, we hope to combine this to form a dynamic that successfully carries out our policies and events.

Vanna: I served as the freshmen and sophomore caucus co-president and for the past two years and was able to work more thoroughly with the administration and gain the experience that can help you guys have a successful junior year! Outside of caucus, I’m also part of the girls track & field team, manager for the boys fencing team, and a tutor on the weekends.

Philip: I currently serve as the president of the NYC chapter of Cancer Kids First, and in the past 2 years, I’ve been able to gain invaluable experience with fundraising, outreach and communication, all of which I can use to make your Junior year a memorable one! I’m also a SciOly event leader, a SMOL director, and a member of Arista and Orchestra :)

Sophomore Caucus Accomplishments: In sophomore caucus, Cayla and I offered sophomores $10 broadway tickets and we brought many of us to watch Harry Potter and the Cursed Child (in the fall) as well as Back to the Future! The Musical (in February). They were all so much fun to watch! Additionally, we created elective/AP guides to help with the selection process and hosted many successful events like the pumpkin decorating + scavenger hunt, cupcake decorating contest, and family feud. My favorite thing we did would probably be the week long sophomore bar holiday decorations since it turned out really nicely and so many people participated!
