If elected as your Freshman Caucus presidents, we will strive to make your FRESHman year easier, more entertaining and more accessible through our policies. We both have the experience and ability to accomplish our policies, which will benefit you! Our five pillars (Fundraisers, Resources, Events, Suggestions and Homework Help) will help us all adjust to Stuy and have a great year. 

 

Why should you vote for us?

• We have extensive student government experience!
  • While we have participated in student council, debate, clubs, community service, and many clubs, our experience goes beyond that as we have also worked to implement changes across NYC schools. We met last year through District Two's Manhattan Student Leadership Council (MSLC), after our respective schools selected us to represent them. We worked together on a project regarding school safety and sexual harassment, which we presented to Chancellor Banks. Through MSLC we also had the opportunity to speak with NY City Council members Rebecca Seawright and Erik Bottcher, and gained important leadership skills.
• Our policies are ambitious and impactful, while still being realistic
  • A few of our notable policies include merch design contests, a freshman website with important resources, bi-weekly newsletters, clocks in the swim locker rooms, member comments on StuyActivities, study groups, teacher guides, and study guides. Additionally, we plan to host many events, such as a Trivia Night, a Field Day, dances, ice skating, a Multicultural Potluck and a Bowling and Arcade Celebration. • We want to hear YOUR VOICE!
  • The role of Freshman Caucus presidents is to represent the entire Freshman grade, which is why we have a set plan to make sure your voices are heard! We will have a general suggestions form open year-round where you can submit any ideas or concerns you have for Freshman Caucus and Stuy in general! This form will be available through our website and bi-weekly newsletters, so it will be easy for you to find it and send us your opinions. We will also send out event and policy specific feedback forms after hosting an event or introducing a new policy, so that we can plan future events and policies based on your responses!
